Aims and Rationale of Health and Fitness

1. No single food provides all the nutrients needed by the body. Each variety of foods has to obtain a well-balanced diet.
2. Give suitable complementary food in addition to less-nutritional foods that you intake everyday. Start with small amounts when introducing new foods.
3. Maintain normal growth with proper diet.
4, 5, 6, 7. Correct deficiencies in the current dietary pattern for Filipinos that includes GOOD QUALITY OF PROTIEN, IRON AND ZINC.
8. Caution about the use of excessive salty foods among persons at high risk for hypertension.
9. Prevent food-borne diseases. Know the sources of hypertension.
10. Observe a healthy lifestyle with regular exercise, abstinence smoking and alcohol consumption or drink it with moderation.
